Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a chronic condition characterized by constant discomfort/pain in the bladder and/or pelvic area, as well as symptoms such as urgency and frequent urination. The problem and its treatment are poorly addressed in the Russian Federation, despite the fact that about 100,000 women suffer from the disease. According to recent studies, the prevalence of IC is much higher than previously thought. And although IC is most commonly diagnosed among women, men are also susceptible to the disease.
Up to now there has been no unified comprehensive and reliable source of information on this topic on the Web. Today people suffering from IC or suspecting it, as well as specialists in the field, which we have only a few hundred in our country, have the opportunity to get information about the disease, find each other on a new platform and communicate. The creators have made a useful interactive map with locations of all the specialists and clinics available, so the patient can find the nearest one.
One of the key features of the site is a questionnaire for diagnosing interstitial cystitis, which everyone can take.
